Take Care Of It
If you have never grown your beard out, or this is your first time, you’d be surprised how many times bearded men are asked “How do you grow a beard like that?”. First and foremost you have to take care of it. As with many things in life, treat something well and it will last. Your beard is not the same as your hair and you can’t treat it the same. That’s why we’re here to help.
Wash no more than 3x a week to allow your natural oil to do it's job. Make sure to give it a boost afterwards with some quality beard oil. As with all hygiene consistency is key. Whether your goal is a little fuzz, or a full mane, you need to take care of it and make it a priority in your routine.
Patience
A great virtue to have when you’re growing anything is patience. Whether that’s a garden for self reliance, muscle for that Alpha look, or a glorious beard to be the envy of all around, you'll need patience. Genetics play a part in growing in a full beard as well so bear in mind that all beards grow at different rates. Have patience and you will persevere through all aspects of your life. Never give up and when problems arise you find a solution. After all, you’re a man. It’s what we do.
Moisturize
As mentioned before, if problems arise you find a solution. Don’t run to the razor if you experience beard itch itchy or dry, flaky skin. This is caused by dry skin and dry beards irritating the skin often forgotten underneath. Let’s be real, we’re no Chuck Norris and there is not another fist behind our beards.
Try a quality beard oil to help nourish those whiskers and lock in moisture after a cleansing shower to keep the beard itch and dry skin away while also softening your beard. Always a satisfying feeling of rubbing your hands through your soft and rejuvenated beard.
Keep It Neat
When your beard is growing in you will need to keep it clean and neat. While you will want to give yourself about 2 months before trimming your beard you will still want to plan your beard lines. Think of a U going from ear to ear with the lowest point being just above the Adam’s apple. You can also expose more of your cheeks by keeping the line here to your liking. Keep in mind the look you’re going for and tame your beard as it’s growing in.
A blow dryer and a fine comb can do wonders to straighten and keep your beard under control after a cleanse. Once dried you can also apply some quality beard balm to style it to your choosing for a nice hold and moisturizing aid.
Health
If you want something to grow well then you need to ensure it has a good environment to do so.Your beard, like everything else, requires energy and nutrition to grow. Focusing on your general health and well being can do wonders for your entire body and life as well as bringing out a full, luxurious beard. Eating a well balanced diet and maintaining an active lifestyle is one of the best decisions you can make and one you can’t regret.
